ISI Yogyakarta Library Exhibition with 6 Art Libraries in Indonesia at FKI 2014

Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) of Art are always required to move continuously in producing Human Resources who are able to produce creative, innovative, competitive works of art and in line with future demands. In this case, the Indonesian College of Arts Cooperation Agency (BKS-PTSI) seeks to accommodate these demands through the actualization of art and dialogical spaces which become a regular agenda of activities for art universities to be able to improve the noble values of humanity both as individuals and as part of a wider scope of society. Through the activities of the Indonesian Arts Festival (FKI) as evidence of the consistency of PTSI's work for media expression, discussion and discourse mapping of the position and position of art itself to the community. The 8th FKI 2014 is the second round of art festival attended by seven PTSIs (ISI Yogyakarta, ISI Surakarta, ISI Padangpanjang, ISI Denpasar, IKJ Jakarta, STSI Bandung, STKW Wilwatikta Surabaya). With the theme Spirit of the Future: Art for Humanizing Civilization, the 8th FKI 2014 seeks to emphasize the concept and function of art that brings the spirit of the future to play a role in increasing the nobility of human values through art forms. To enliven this event and at the same time as a form of active participation, the ISI Yogyakarta Library together with PTSI member libraries on September 24-27, 2014 at the New Rectorate Building Jalan Parangtritis Km 6.5 Yogyakarta held a joint exhibition by displaying selected collections in each library in the form of books, journals, student works, and conducted a book exchange. This event also served as the launching of a joint catalog of 7 art college libraries that are members of the Forum of Art Libraries of Indonesian Art Colleges (FPSPTSI).
